Trails: Bennett Street Trail

Pat and I hiked all winter and I was feeling kind of DONE with snow and ice. So we took 6 weeks off from hiking to let the snow melt. Ummmmm…. that didn’t work! Yesterday we hiked Sandwich Dome and found lots of snow above 3,000 feet. It was a shock to my system, having just come back from Bermuda. The trail was sparkling with trillium and new growth and gorgeous waterfalls amid tricky watercrossings, slippery leaves and roots, bugs and, as I said, SNOW with no monorail. The best thing was being back together again in the mountains feeling the strength of our friendship as if we had not taken any time off at all. We are so lucky to have each other and to live near these beautiful mountains. So blessed.
