Yesterday Pat and I hiked the Beaver Brook Trail that goes up Mt. Moosilauke. We met an Appalachian Trail hiker on his way down who told us that the Beaver Brook Trail contains the most dangerous mile on the entire Appalachian Trail. I believe it! With iron handbars and wooden steps, trail workers have done their best to make it safe for hikers. But it is steep…and beautiful running along the Beaver Brook Cascades. We were so blown away by the beauty of waterfalls and the ingenuity of the trail workers that going up didn’t feel that bad. Coming down was another story…
