Dogs on the 48
Dejah, my daughter’s yellow lab, was living with me while Pat and I were climbing the 67 4,000-footers in New England. So she joined us for many of our hikes. She became our beloved trail dog and we missed her so when she moved to Texas with Jess. But guess what? Jess and Dejah came back to NH for a year and we had our trail dog back! Out of curiosity, I checked to see how many of the NH48 she had done with us — 23! Could we go back and climb the 25 mountains again that we had done without her so she could get her patch? And could we do it in a year, before Jess and Dejah moved back to Texas?
Here are Dejah’s adventures.

Dejah passed away on December 16, 2019 at the age of 15. She was the best trail dog and we will miss her.
